That looks like fun. Blanchard (where I live) and Norman (where I work) are both about 20 miles south of the "OKC" letters. The roads still look ok now, but all the trees and grass have a glaze of ice on them, and the worst accumulations aren't supposed to start until later on tonight. I wonder if OU would cancel final exams tomorrow. Too bad mine is on Thursday. :p

We lost power for almost an hour earlier this evening. I was ready at that point to spend the rest of the night in the dark with no heat, so I'm somewhat surprised that we got it back so quickly. I haven't been outside at all, so I'm not sure what the roads are like now that it's dark. The DOT lists almost all the highways in Oklahoma as "slick and hazardous," and OU has canceled school tomorrow even though it's finals week. Some people are going to get a few extra days to study!

I'm glad you got the power back fairly quickly...hope it stays on! I have been watching the forecasts and advisories, just cringing. Having a thin coat of ice is bad enough... but three-quarters of an inch? Notgood. Aren't you expecting several days of this? Gah.

Yeah, the freezing rain/drizzle is supposed to continue through Monday night, but temperatures should rebound into the 40s fairly soon after that. Things will be crappy in the meantime until the ice starts to melt.

Send me some ice! It's supposed to be 76 strange degrees here tomorrow.

That is a little warm for December! I'm all for freezing rain as long as

a) I don't have to drive anywhere, and
b) The power stays on.
