God it feels good to be back in t-shirts and jeans again. I had to dress up for the last two days of the conference. I think the next time I get a decent amount of money saved up, I'm going to go on a mini shopping spree. I feel like the clothes I own are just not flattering on me at all. I did like what I was wearing today (everything was fairly new), but yesterday I just did not feel very good about how I looked at all. My clothes just didn't feel right on me, and that was further enforced by some of the glances I felt like I was getting. I'm sure part of it could have been attributed to some of the weight fluctuations I've been experiencing lately, but I think the largest factor was just the clothes. I need to stop hitting the thrift stores for the cheap two dollar bargains and instead buying (expensive) clothes that actually fit the way they should.

Then again, maybe I just hate dressing up.

Other than being overly harsh on myself based on how I felt like I looked, I had a smashing time at the conference. It was awesome to see some of the top researchers of my field give presentations on their most current research. It was also fun to laugh at the ones that just plain sucked. I'm so mean, lol! That's ok. I have a sense of humor, and I'll be more than happy to let future people laugh at me when I screw up. That's just something that you gotta deal with when you learn the ropes.
