The new Harry Potter movie was pretty damn good...even better than the two that came before. The CGI was excellent even down to every little feather on the hypogriff's (sp?) back. The story was great, although I can't really credit the movie itself with that considering it was based off the book. There was one scene where Harry was supposed to be crying that did not look believable at all, but meh. I nearly fell out of the chair laughing when I realized that Professor Lupin was the evil King from Dragonheart, but the best surprise was none other than Gary Oldman himself!!!!! He is hands down one of my favorite actors of all time, so I was a very very very happy camper when I realized it was him. All I had to do was look at that wanted poster the first time, and I was immediately pointing at the screen with my jaw on the floor. All in all, it was very entertaining...even for people who are over 12.

I didn't know it was Gary Oldman until I got home and was talking to someone about it online, and she mentioned it. But did you know that Professor Trelawney was Emma Thompson? I didn't even know she was in the movies! I was so impressed, even though her part was pretty small.

I didn't realize it was her, but my mom was freaking out within two seconds of her appearing on the screen.

....and what is all this business about her being married to Alan Rickman????
