As far as photography goes, I've been feeling lately that I need to be a little more aware of some technical aspects of it that I've been oblivious to up until now. So, I went to the library today and picked up three books: The Negative by Ansel Adams, The Ansel Adams Guide: Basic Techniques of Photography, Book 1 by John P. Schaefer, and Secrets of Color in Photography by Jim Zuckerman. My main goals are to have a more technical sense of light, exposure, and stops. I'm wasting way too much money right now by buying 24-exposure rolls of film and then only getting 2 or 3 good shots out of them because I have no fucking clue what I'm doing.

That's why I love my digital camera. I can take 100 pictures and not feel bad that only 15-20 of them turned out just right.

In 8th grade I did a science fair project on the different film speeds and such, without changing the speed on the camera (to keep the results constant or whatever)...and I WOULD tell you what my results were, except for the fact that I suck and did it in a weekend and didnt even make up a presentation. So this is pretty pointless, BUT the speed of the film does have an effect on the grainyness of a picture. If I remember correctly the higher the speed the less grain. I could be wrong, but thats what my memory recalls.

Goodluck, I hope you enjoy it! I LOVE your pictures, you really are am amazing photographer. I wish I could do work like that, but I have little inspiration and no real camera. Haha. Have fun!
