I had to begin the initial phase of negotiations with Dad over the A&W Root Beer glass mugs and the ownership thereof. There are five of them, and I started at a reasonable amount of three. This quickly got turned down with statements like, "I bought you one for Christmas one year. Where did you put it?" and "But...they're collector's items." So I came back with the obvious rebuttal, "But Daaaaaaadddd, they've been sitting in a dusty box in storage for two years now. You never use them or even think about them." Vickie chimed in and added, "Tom, usually collector's sets of glasses come in four." So, with Vickie's apparently necessary blessing, Dad settled on just giving me one of the sacred mugs. Case closed.

I'll just have to buy a few of those really cool plastic mugs with the water in the walls that you can freeze. They work just as effectively as glass.

We have one I got at a garage sale this summer for 50 cents, I think.

There is a A&W in my hometown. Yay!
