Aug. 28th, 2005 11:00 amNormally I don't care all that much about hurricanes, but this one's definitely going to be a doozy. New Orleans is six feet below sea level, and the city will be flooded for months if the levy breaks. It has been vulnerable to hurricanes for decades, but they had always come out fortunate enough for them a) to be NOT a category four or five, and b) to not hit NO directly. Hopefully the engineers who built the levy system knew what the hell they were doing.
