I think that VH1 actually did a really good job on compiling the top 50 videos of 2001. Granted, they are going to leave off rap and hip hop because they don't play it, but it's really diverse. Some songs really didn't belong on the countdown, though.

I feel like crying.

My grandfather has been a friend to Arthur forever. They were young men when they met each other. He was a great guy, and I remember always loving to visit him because one of his favorite hobbies was running an ostrich farm. He was one of the few really nice and honest guys my grandfather knew. Just after Thanksgiving we all found out that he was diagnosed with cancer and was given six months to live. That was a huge blow to everyone, but they were all ready to help him get through the Chemo and radiation. He never got that far. He died last night of a blood clot in his leg. They wanted to cut his leg off and put him on life support, but his family wouldn't allow it. They didn't want him to suffer. This was so unexpected. Right now I just want to give my grandpa a huge hug and tell him everything's going to be ok, but I can't. Well, shit. Forget wanting to cry. I AM crying. This is so sad.

Thank you so much guys for the comments. They felt really good. My dad's going to the funeral next week, so I'll just give him a big hug when he gets back.

I'm really proud of myself. I have AMAZING sweet talking skills when it comes to cops. I just got pulled over a block from my house for running a stop sign. Not only did I not have my seat belt on, but I didn't even have my driver's license. He let me off with a warning. I guess it helps when you've got three cops in the family.

While talking with this cop, we stumbled upon something very interesting. He said he's only seen the prefix of my SSN on people from the west coast. I was born right here in the great state of Kansas. How very odd...
