Very eeenteresting. Regular unleaded here was $2.54 this morning (wow, cheap!), so I filled up. You all should too before that thing gets anywhere near the Gulf.

It will be interesting to see what Ernesto does over the next couple of days. You can bet with a forecast track like that there are people in Louisiana and Mississippi thinking "Oh, shit."

My throat is sore. I better not be getting sick.

Eh, shit, here we go again.

Any predictions as to weird twists and turns this one will make to slam into strategic targets?

Ha, I have no idea. I don't even pretend to be an expert when it comes to predicting where hurricanes go. I'm from Kansas, remember? A lot can change in five days, though. I do know that.

Heh. I was mostly being snarky based on those reports of "hmm, interesting how this thing took a sharp turn right before it hit land... weather-control device much?"

Yeah, I remember the conspiracy theory mumbles about Russians steering hurricanes around. I don't know why people were thinking the Russians were doing it, though. The Cold War is kind of um...over?

Yeah, my sources said it was the Yakuza in Japan. Or, alternately, some multinational seekrit club of EVIL.

$2.54!!!!!

Jesus. I'll be paying nearly a dollar more than that out here.

Yeah, I suppose that's pretty much the only benefit of living so close to Texas. :/

Truly. I can only hope that the breeze caused by the entire population of Houston/Galveston hyperventilating simultaneously is enough to push it away from here (ora nywhere else it might do damage).

It's $2.75 here today.
On post, the government owned vehicles can fill up and Derek said he went to fill up their van and it was at $0.78 about two weeks ago. You know what that means? These damn oil companies are making over $2 per gallon on gas. I'm gonna go buy one of those moped things that gets 117 mpg.

good think it looks like it will be weaker before it hits anything, but you never know for sure i guess.
