i would love to tell you to go for SUNY ALbany, as I live an hour away. But upstate NY is pretty much an awful region to live in, weather-wise. There's a LOT of snow and winter is definitely the longest season. Cost of living around here is low, I assume Albany would be similar but I really don't know.

Basically, upstate NY if you like cold, winter weather :P
