Looking east (well, northeast actually):

Now, help me decide which color to paint it! Forgive my crude use of Photoshop here. I wasn't going for a work of art or anything.

Color 2:

I want to like the yellow, but I don't know how I feel about it paired with the tile and counter colors. I like #2 the best... but from what I've seen on TV, you're going to need really good primer and a few coats of paint to get it to look right.

Yeah I was thinking about buying the painter+primer-in-one stuff that I've seen advertised, but I bet I'd still need two coats of paint.

I agree, #2. definitely avoid the yellow.

Heh, that was pretty much Jeremy's response. He said the yellow one was awful. I just wanted to throw a lighter color in there, because with the dark tile/cabinets/countertops I wasn't sure if a darker color would make the room too dark. I think the windows are probably large enough to bring in adequate light, though, so I think I'll try the dark red. :)

first of all, i am seriously jealous of your kitchen!

and i can't decide, i like either the 2nd red or the yellow. the red is very bold and makes a nice statement. but the yellow would make it nice and bright and sunny in there.

I loooove our kitchen. It's either my favorite room in the house or a close second to the master bathroom. After living in tiny apartments for four years in Ames the larger space is wonderful. :)

I agree with you, but fiance (still getting used to that) vetoed the yellow. He has to live here too, so he gets to put in his two cents.

I like color #2, but I'm partial to red kitchens anyway. And I am jealous of your awesome tile floors!
